I bought this book for my 7 & 9 year old boys. From the moment they started reading this book they couldn't put it down. I've never seen my boys ask to go up to bed early so they can read before! Recently, we were watching a Yankees game and Aaron Judge hit is 10th HR in April. I suggested that not only is he a candidate for Rookie of the Year but potentially MVP if he keeps up this pace. My 7 yr old son quickly let me know that Jackie Robinson won Rookie of the Year in 1947 and MVP two years later. It just doesn't get any cooler than that. I highly recommend this book for anyone who has a young baseball fan in the family, it is sure to be an instant favorite. Incredible job by Matt Nadel!Product details

What I thought – This was a well-written resource for anyone interested in baseball or history in general. It is organized and flows well which is quite a feat considering the amount of information packed into the book. The text is easy to follow and is referenced well. The reader can tell there was a lot of careful research done for the book. I liked how Matt not only included baseball stats but also glimpses into the lives and personalities of the players. I wouldn’t be surprised if someone will be writing a book about Matt in a few years!

Matt does a wonderful job sharing his love and passion for baseball in this book.
For new fans of the game, or those of us who have loved baseball for years, Nadel glides through topics such as Babe Ruth through the Negro Leagues seamlessly. The book is a wonderful primer of baseball history.

SPORTS IS ALWAYS A GREAT READ FOR BOYS AND GIRLS.
I'm 42 years old and don't know even half of the trivia in this info-packed history book. The author's 15 years old and clearly has a love for baseball, which shines through in the many detailed anecdotes and history lessons from baseball's beginnings. I love the easy-to-jump-iin style the book's written in, offering 26 different chapters tying each history fact to a different letter of the alphabet. From World Series to home run heroes! Love the classic photos too. Great job, Matt!
